Our Story 

On December 30, 1832, Bethel Baptist Church conducted its first worship service with twenty-nine persons present, including nine slaves. From the very beginning, the church recognized that all people, races, and classes should worship together for the glory of God. 

We strive to be a place where every person feels welcome, because the message of hope found in Jesus Christ unites and restores relationships. Still today, we seek to be a church where, no matter where you have been or who you are, you are welcome. God has gifted you with unique spiritual gifts to impact the world around you, and we desire that you will find a place to make a difference and influence your community for the Kingdom at Bethel.
